IRENE HAILEY MILLER, 73 of MARSHVILLE, NC died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe, NC. Funeral Services will be held 3pm Friday, September 5, 2014, at Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Camden Rd., Marshville, NC 28103, Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held 11am to 7pm Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe.
Mother Miller, the daughter of the late Letha Crowder Hailey and Roy B. Robinson, was born in Union County, NC, on December 13, 1940. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
Irene joined Nicey Grove Baptist Church at an early age and continued her faith through the Church of God of Emanuel, which later became known as Victory Community in Jefferson, SC.
She was joined in holy matrimony with the late Robert Lee Miller of Jefferson, SC. Out of this matrimony was born eleven children; two of whom preceded her in death, Ricky Miller and Eileen Miller.
Left to cherish fond memories are three sons; Robert Lee Miller (Elissa) of Bennettsville, SC, Lawrence Henry Miller (Vanessa) of Cheraw, SC and Randall Andrew Miller (Sylvia) of Marshville, NC; her six daughters; (Miller Sisters), Tammie Lee Cobb (Dennis) of Kershaw, SC, Laura Ann Horne (Darial) of Marshville, NC, Belivena Tracy Lindsey (John)-Coleman (Rodney) of Albany, GA, Sandy Audry Jones (Timothy) of Walterboro, SC, Marchelle Silvette Nesmith-Bey (Randy) of Matthews, NC and Angela Loren Lee (Kevin) of Jefferson, SC; 40 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; 9 sisters; the late Vicki Staton (Charles) and the late Mildred Leak(Lloyd), Brenda McNeil (Wade), Willette Hough (the late Thomas), Cathy Flowers (Henry), Konya Williams (Mac), Bertha Jones, Sylvia Robinson and Mable Robinson; 13 brothers; Millard Hailey and the late Ned Hailey, James Edward Hailey(Ruth), Albert Louis Hailey(Brenda), Willie Bob Hailey(Mary Ann), Grady Wilson Hailey (Katrina) and the late Willie Huntley and the late George Robinson, Roy B. Robinson, Jr., (Olinda), Ernest Robinson, Robert Robinson and Larry Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Irene was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and confident. She treasured the bond of family and will be forever remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and her endeaver to promote peace amongst her kindred.
