MR. JAMES BRADY HUNTLEY, 65 of MONROE, NC died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe, NC. Funeral Services will be held 3pm Friday, August 8, 2014 at Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd , Marshville, NC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held 11am to 7pm Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.
James Brady Huntley, a son of the late Brady Huntley and Alberta Taylor, was born on Tuesday, September 21, 1948. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church. " J ", as he was fondly called, retired in 2012 from Union Roofing for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Griffin; grandson, Gabriel Huntley; three sisters, Connie Bell Sloan, Rachel Bivens, Jessie Lee Bowman; four brothers, Wilson Huntley, Dennis Earl Huntley, Ricky Lee Huntley and Culbert Huntley.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his loving wife; Beverly Ann Huntley; four sons, Jamie Lee Huntley(Tonya) of Monroe, NC, Curtis Huntley of Pineville, NC, Brady Maske of Monroe, NC, and Lamont Griffin (April) of Wingate, NC; two daughters; Betty Jean Adams (Alex) of Pineville, NC, and Krista Oliver (Christopher) of Virginia; two sisters; Ginger Taylor (George) of Monroe, NC and Elree Singletary (James) of Wingate, NC; two brothers; Alberteen Huntley of Monroe, NC and Glendale Huntley (Rita) of Marshville, NC; five brothers-in-law; Bobby Sloan, J.C. Bivens, Sr., Jesse James Bowman, Sr., Eugene Hamilton, Nelson Hamilton (Worneppa); one sister-in-law; Arlene Hall; 26 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
