James "Jc" C. Mobley

MR. JAMES C. "JC" MOBLEY, 85 of WAXHAW, NC passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Peak Resources Center in Charlotte, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 3pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 9904 Andrew Jackson Rd., Waxhaw, NC. 28173.  Reverend Jacob Chisholm, Pastor, Eulogist.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. His remains will lie in repose one hour prior to the service at the church.  A public vieiwng will be held 1pm to 7pm Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

"J.C." as he was affectionatley known was born Sunday, July 6, 1930 in Union County, North Carolina a son of the late Will James and Arizona Cousart Mobley.  He was educated in the public schools of Union County and was employed as a Janitorial Worker for many years.

At a young age he joined Mount Zion Baptist Church where he attented faithfully until his health began to fail. He loved his Church, he loved singing, praying and reading the Bible.

"J.C." was preceded in death by five brothers; Robert Lee, Andrew, Richard Odell, Hurley Thomas and James Curtis, one sister; Willie Esther Mobley.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories three sisters; Mary Wheeler and Pauline Doster both of Monroe, NC and Shirley Witherspoon (Melvin) of Waxhaw, NC  and a host of neices, nephews, cousins other relatives and dear friends.
