Jerry Lewis Houser

MR. JERRY LEWIS HOUSER, 65 of MONROE,  NC passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home.  Funeral Services will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Greater Grace Community Missionary Baptist Church, 880 Hasty Road, Marshville, NC.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, 1001 Adams St., Monroe, NC.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Services and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, June 18, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Jerry  Lewis Houser , a son of the late Joe Lewis McNeely and Rilla Bell Houser McNeely, was born on Monday, April 9, 1956 in Union County, North Carolina.  He departed this earthly life suddenly on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

He attended Winchester Schools.  He worked at Wood Designs of Monroe for 30 years.  He also coached football at the Sun Valley Schools.

Jerry was a loving, caring, giving and sweet person to all who knew him.  He also loved walking.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, Joe Lewis and Rilla Bell Houser McNeely; a brother, Joe McNeely and a sister, Donna McNeely.

Jerry leaves to cherish fond memories to his two loving daughters; Tammy Houser and Erica Houser, both of Monroe, NC; two sons, David Jackson of Sierra Vista, AZ and Kenneth Miller of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, De'Lyn Garmon, Makaylan Jackson, Kailah Davis, Gabriel Miller and Katrina Miller; one brother, John  McNeely; three sisters, Brenda McNeely, Dianna McNeely and Mary McNeely, all of Monroe, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
