Jerry Vaughn Thomas

MR. JERRY VAUGHN THOMAS, 64 formerly of Rockingham, NC, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Manor Care, Pinehurst, NC.  Funeral S ervices will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Thomasville Missionary Baptist Church, 233 Thomasville Church Road, Mount Gilead, NC.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 pm Saturday, April 22, 2017 prior to the service at the church.

A public viewing will be  held12:00 pm to 7:00pm Friday, April 21, 2017, at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC.

He was born on March 21, 1953 in Montgomery County, NC, to the late Maston Thomas, Sr., and Annie Mae Haywood Thomas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Maston Thomas, Jr., Harvey Thomas and a grandson, Jerry Ryan Williams.

Jerry leaves cherished memories to his wife, Linda Baldwin Thomas of Rockingham, NC; five daughters, Denita Thomas of Aberdeen, NC, Benita Thomas (Dennis) of Raeford,NC, Candace Goodwin (Roosevelt) of Hamlet, NC, Janice Thomas and Takisha Thomas, both of Rockingham, NC; two sons, Garrick Thomas (Tracie) of Hamlet, NC and Timothy Thomas (Shae) of Rockingham, NC; one sister, Linda Thomas Horne (Overseer Johnnie Horne) of Troy, NC; two brothers, Benjamin Thomas of Fayetteville, NC and Malcolm Thomas (Kimberly) of Albemarle, NC; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of in-laws,  aunts, uncle,  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
