MR. JOHN HENRY RONNIE CRAIG, 62 of WAXHAW, NC passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 7700 Waxhaw Hwy., Waxhaw, NC 28173.

Interment will follow in the Eastside Community Cemetery in Waxhaw, NC.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC whom is serving the Craig and extended family.

John, " Swain ", as he was fondly called by family and friends, was born on Wednesday, September 7, 1950, to the late Carthenia Craig and Leroy Heggins.  He passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at his residence at the age of 62.

He attended Parkwood High School ans was employed by Tyson Foods for 34 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brothers.

He enjoyed laughing with friends and attending car shows.  "Swain" loved riding his motorcycle with Harold "Knee Baby" Barber and David Waddell in the MC Hammer Motorcycle Club.  He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity

John is survived by his wife Betty of Waxhaw NC; his children, Jacqueline McNeely, Brandon Craig (Ashley) and Brittany Craig; his sisters, Sheila Craig of Waxhaw, NC and Ella Hood of Buffalo, NY; brothers, Ricky Heggins and wife of Lancaster, SC, James Massey and wife of Charlotte, NC, Clifford Heggins of Sanford, NC, Lorenzo Massey and wife and Kevin Lee of Waxhaw, NC; his companion, Rhonda Holt and her sons, Brandon Holt, Jalen Holt and Malik Lomax, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
