Mrs. Josephine Crawford Williams, 93 of Monroe, NC died Friday, December 20, 2013 at Woodridge Assistant Living in Monroe, NC. Funeral Services will be held 2 pm Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Langford Chapel CME Church, 111 S. Johnson St.,Monroe, NC 28112. Reverend Sandra Gripper, Pastor, Eulogist.  Internment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC. Public viewing will be held 11am to 6pm Saturday, December 27, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born in Wilmington, NC, Friday, April 23, 1920 a daughter of the late Will and Pearl Crawford.  "Momma Jo" as she was so affectionally called by her family, not only raised her own children but took on the role of raising several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a member of Langford Chapel CME Church in Monroe, NC serving  as a Stewardess and served on the Pastors Aid Board prior to the declining of her health. She last worked at Judd's Resturant in Monroe, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Cortez "Coot" Crawford, Sr.; two sons; Cortez Williams, Jr. and Wriston Williams; one daughter; Isabell Williams Patterson; one brother and sister in law; Woodrow and Pauline Witherspoon, two sisters; Mable McKinsey and Pauline McKinsey and a step daughter; Mary Williams Bolder.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her son; Jimmy Williams (Earlden) of Monroe, NC; one sister in law; Elizabeth Williams of Wadesboro, NC; one son in law; Jay Will Bolder of Monroe, NC; 13 Grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, neices, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
