Mrs. Julia Mae White DuBose of Pageland, SC was a daughter of the late Fred and Sarah Alsbrooks White. She was born October 5, 1923 in Anson County, North Carolina and departed her life on Monday July 2, 2012, at her daughters home in Monroe, North Carolina.
Julia confessed Christ as her savior and she was a member of Oro Methodist Church in Pageland , SC. Julia was united into holy matrimony to Marion James Dubose on September 25, 1948. To this union eight children were born of which one preceeded her in death and five sisters.
She leaves to cherish memories to three sons, Marion James DuBose, Jr. (Carrie) of Indian Trail, NC, Craven DuBose (Roslyn) of Wingate, NC, Reddie DuBose (Linda) of Lancaster, SC, four daughters, Patty Holmes of Monroe, NC, Dolly Horne of Monroe, NC, Ophelia Moore of Monroe, NC and Minister Kathy Chambers (Eric) of Peachland, NC; one brother, Fred White, Jr. of Marshville, NC; one sister Mattie Lou Polk of Wingate, NC; twenty five grandchildren, fifty-two great-grandchildren, forty seven great-great grandchildren and six great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and a special cousin, Mr. Joe Wade Clark.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 2:00 the New Meltonville Missionary Baptist Church in Peachland, NC with Burial in the Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday July 6, 2012, 11am to 7pm at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Servcie in Monroe, NC.
