Kenneth Lowel Chambers

​ MR. KENNETH LOWEL CHAMBERS, 77 of MONROE, NC ​passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

​Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 821 Chestnut Lane, Indian Trail, NC 28079.

Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Kenneth was the son of the late John Douglas Chambers and Hallie Mae Chambers, was born on Monday, July 1, 1940 in Union County, Monroe, NC.

He was a well known masonry contractor who always loved working with his hands.  He often traveled to different states to work and leave his special mark on different masonary projects as well as touching many hearts.

Kenneth and his wife Edna of 57 years always loved serving Jehovah together.  He loved speaking to individuals about the Bible and Jehovah's purpose for mankind.

He was a provider, husband, great father and friend.  He stayed close to his family and had a fondness for his grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Oswald Chambers; three sisters, Glenda Joyce Medley, Jeanette Barnes, Vernel Chambers; two sons, Kevin Chambers and Kenneth Chambers, Jr.

Cherished memories are left to his wife, Edna Mae Chambers; five children, Tammy Sowell (Mikal), Rodney Chambers(Micchelle), Travis Chambers, Ira Chambers and Stephanie Blakney (Jeff); his brother, Gary Lee Chambers; three sisters, Yvonne Hood, Elanie Belk and Annette Marsh, all of Monroe, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
