MR. KENNETH MARSHELL FUNDERBURK, 59 of WADESBORO, NC passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at his home.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 with Private Interment following the service.

A Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, May 15, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC wich is serving the Funderburk and extended families.

Mr. Kenneth Marshell Funderburk, went to his heavenly home on Monday, May 11, 2020, with his loving family at his side.

Kenneth Marshell Funderburk was born on Friday, August 26, 1960, in Union County NC, to the late William Junior Funderburk and Eldora Marsh Funderburk.

At an early age, he joined Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, in Wingate, NC.  He was a graduate of Forest Hills High School.  Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Air Force in 1979, where he traveled to England for duty until 1983.

Shortly after service, he became employed by Scott Aviation as the Area Leader for several years.  After being laid off, he was employed by Marsh Construction in Wingate, NC for several years,.  After leaving the construction job, he worked with several landscaping companies until his illness.

His hobbies include were enjoying music, fishing, hunting, cooking, and all sports.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Kenneth was known as "Nut" Hero and Kenny G", by his family and friends.  He was a creative entreprenuer.  Had a quiet mild manner and spirit that was well known to everyone who encountered him.  He was very generous to anyone that needed assistance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Robert Junior Funderburk, and an older sister, Geraldine Funkerburk.

Kenneth leaves to cherish loving memories, his fiance', Sonia Ratliff, of Wadesboro, NC, Sonia Ratliff of Wadesboro, NC; one daughter, Jamecia Perry (John) of Monroe, NC, one son, Sonta Funderburk of Monroe, NC; two sisters, Carrie Bennett (Levard) of Marshville, NC and Vanessa Funderburk of Wingate, NC; two brothers, Ernest Fulton Funderburk and Norman Lee Funderburk (Wanda) od Wingate, NC; five grandchildren, Jakel Colston, Jadarian Perry, Makiya Funderburk, Jazion Dunlap, Jakayla Perry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends..
