Kenneth Michael Huey

Mr. Kenneth Michael Huey, 60 of Waxhaw, NC died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday, January 25, 2013 at Pleasant Plains Missionary Baptist Church,3721 Shiloh Unity Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.  Reverend David Wright, Eulogist, Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6pm to 8pm Thursday, January 24, 2013 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born in Lancaster County, SC, Sunday, March 23, 1952 a son of the late Charlie and Edna Harris Huey. At an early age he joined Pleasant Plain Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee, Usher and member of the Mens Choir, a graduate of Parkwood High School and worked as a Machinist at Square D Corporation.

Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather and everyone's favorite "Uncle Mike". He was preceeded in death by three  brothers, Mr. LeAndrew Huey, Mr. Sampson Huey and Reverend Charlie Huey and two sisters, Mrs. Louvenia Drakeford and Mrs. Aliene Fletcher.

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to his devoted and loving wife of 38 years, Mrs. Lessie Davis Huey; two daughers, Ms. Tiffanie Daniele Huey of Waxhaw, NC and Ms. Gidget Ivey of Charlotte, NC and grandchildren; Mr. Quan Ivey and Ms. Joy Ivey both of Charlotte, NC; sisters; Mrs .Docia Horton of Monroe, NC, Mrs. Ruth Sutton of Charlotte, NC; Mrs. Mary Hancock , (Sam) and Mrs. Naomi Pettiway, both of New York; one brother, Mr. J.C. Huey of Lancaster, SC; one special nephew that he loved like a son, Jerel Fletcher, (Michelle); a special family pet, Pebbles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
