Kenneth "Buster" Vernard Jordan

MR. KENNETH "Buster" VERNARD JORDAN, 48 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Novant Health / Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Monroe High School Gymnasium, 1 High School Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.

A public viewing will be held 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Monday, June 17, 1968 in Union County, NC, he was a son of the late Hubert and Mary Esterlean McCain Jordan.  He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. "Buster" was a 1986 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Appalachian State University.  He was  very outgoing and never met a stranger, and was fun to be around and he had a great sense of humor with a contagious smile, and always full of laughter. "Buster" was one of a kind and loved by many near and far. He loved spending time with his friends,  but family was his first priority.  Everyone who knew him knew he loved "mater" sandwiches and the Pittsburg Steelers.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Wilbert Jordan.

"Buster" leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to five sisters; Shirley Rorie and Lenora Brewer both of Charlotte, NC, Mary Moser, Martha Allen and Sylvia Jordan all of Monroe, NC; four brothers, Willie Jackson, Harold Jordan, Rochel Jordan and Herbert Jordan (Diane) all of Monroe, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
