Lacy Lee House

June 30, 1950 — October 18, 2020

MR. LACY LEE HOUSE, 70 of ALABEMARLE, NC, formerly of MT. Gilead, NC, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at his residence.

No Services will be held.

Mr. Lacy Lee House, a son of the late Harrison Sr. and Carrie Pankey House, was born on Friday, June 30, 1950, in Montgomery County, NC.

Lacy attended school in Mt. Gilead, NC.  He later relocated to Brooklyn, NY, where he graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School.  He resided there with his late sister Mary and her husband.

Lacy joined Antioch Baptist Church, where he joined the Ministry of Ushering.  While in New York, he was employed at the Art Designer in Manhattan, NY.  While living in New York, he lived life to the fullest.

When Lacy was younger, he sang in the family group, The Gospel Keys and they sang around the county.

He later returned to North Carolina, where he met and married Alvina Little and to this union three children were born, Roderick, Tomeka and LaShone..

After Lacy relocated to Albemarle Baptist Church in Badin, NC, where he played bass guitar and sang in the choir and remained a member until his death.  He also played bass with two groups, The Singing Stars of Mt. Gilead and the former, Sensational Golden Stars of Mt. Gilead.  He was gifted in anything that he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary and brother, Eugene.   He will be sorely missed.

Those left to cherish him memory are his wife, Alvina Little House of Biscoe, NC; his three children, Roderick House of Biscoe, NC, Tomeka House of Mt. Gilead, NC and LaShone House of Asheboro, NC; sister, Jacqueline Mock of  Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Harrison House, Jr,, of Albemarle, NC, Rev. Columbus House (Verline) of Mt. Gilead, NC and Woodrow House (Lorraine) of Louisburg, NC; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephewsm cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC, is serving the House and extended families.
