Larry Donnell Baker, Sr.

MR. LARRY DONNELL BAKER, SR. 64 of MONROE, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home.

Graveside Services and Military Honors will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC. There will be no public viewing.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the service must wear a mask or facial covering for the safety of yourself and the public.)

Larry was born on Wednesday, December 5, 1956 in Union County, NC, to the late Alfred Henry McLarty and Virginia Ann Baker Reed. He attended the Public Schools of Union County, NC and also Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC.  Larry served in the United States Army from July 15, 1976 to October 12,1983 when he was Honorably Discharged.  He was employed by Scott Aviation Company in Monroe, NC where he retired in 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leave to cherish fond  memories to his son; Larry Donnell "L.J." Baker, Jr and his Mother and devoted friend, Willette Baker both of Charlotte, NC; his Step-father, Columbus Reed of Monroe, NC; two brothers; Harvey McLarty (Cynthia) and (late Rodney Roddy); two sisters; LaQuita McLarty and Patsy Covington (Gregory) all of Monroe, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends.
