MR. LEE EDWARD COLLINS, 72 of MT. GILEAD, NC , passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at FirstHealth/Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.
Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Snow Hill Church Cemetery, 204 Snow Hill Church Rd., MT. Gilead, NC.
(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering. Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)
A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC.
The sibling chain of the late James Collins Sr.. and Aggie Little Collins has broken.
On Thursday, October 14, 2021, God saw fit that another one of His children was growing weak and tired of fighting in this world and called him home. Lee was the 4th child of this close knitted circle of brothers and sisters.
Lee Edward Collins was born on Saturday, October 23, 1948 to James Collins, Sr., and Aggie Little Collins of Mt. Gilead, NC, who preceded him in death.
Lee was formerly employed with Jacob Creek Stone Company of Denton, NC and Gus Shad Associates of Albemarle, NC. He was King of the Hill, a member of the Esquires and the Mt. Gilead Concerned Citizens.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 32 years, Minister Lanette "Lynn" Stanback Collins; daughters, Tina Jean Carpenter of Asheboro, NC and Aaliyah Knight of Mt. Gilead, NC; two step-sons, Devon Demetrious Little (Cassandra) of Mt. Gilead, NC and Willie David Little (Kimberly) of Asheboro, NC; 8 siblings, Doretha Horne of Boston, MA, James Collins, Jr (Geraldine) of Asheboro, NC, Lena Mae Steele and Ralph Kent Collins, both of Mt. Gilead, NC, Loretta Collins, Sandra Marie Phillips (Gene) and Ricky A. Collins (Koran), all of Boston, MA and Patricia Ann Collins of Mt. Gilead, NC; sisters-in-law, Lucille Rudisell, Brenda Gaines and Antine McBroom, all of Mt. Gilead, NC; brother-in-law, Johnny Greene (Ermatene) of Mt. Gilead, NC, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.
