Leroy Allen

​MR. LEROY ALLEN, 74 of MARSHVILLE, NC, ​passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marshville, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 21,  2017 at the Piney East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC 28103.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A public viewing will be held 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, October 20, 2017 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

​Born Tuesday, July 6, 1943 in Union County, NC, he was a son of the late Roy and Christeen Lotharp Allen.  Mr. Allen gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church where he was a lifetime member.

​He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ruth Pauline Crowder-Allen whom preceded him in death along with two sons Larry Allen and Mitchell Allen.

​Mr. Allen worked in the area of Tree Service throughout the county completing tree service for many people. Mr.Allen was an avid Hunter, Fisherman and Entertainer,  one that loved to entertain when ever the chance came about. Cooking was his passion.

​Mr. Allen leaves to cherish many beautiful memories of fun and laughter to his six children, Debra Staton, Donnie Allen, Amanda Redfern and Scottie Allen all of Marshville, NC, Brenda Little (Anthony) of Wingate, NC and Bobby Alexander (Vicky) of Monroe, NC;  his companion, Thelma Thomas of the home; five siblings; Brenda Allen of Marshville, NC, Dorothy Gaither and Willie Allen both of Charlotte, NC, McDuffie Allen (Soretta)  of San Diego, CA and Murphy Allen of Houston, TX, and a host of Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends.
