Libby Carol (Faulkner) Blakeney

Miss Libby Carol Faulkner Blakeney, 59 of Wingate, NC died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home.  Funeral Servcies will be held 1pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at Christ Bible Discipleship Worship Center, 1019 Unarco Rd., Marshville, NC 28103 Interment will follow in the Thompson Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery in Waxhaw, NC.  Public viewing will be held 1pm to 7pm Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Libby was born Saturday, December 26, 1953 in Union County, NC  a daughter of the late Randolph and Johnnie Robinson Faulkner and was a member of the Family Gospel Group the Faulkner Sisters.  She was preceded in death by her Parents; son; Maurice Massey (fiance' Lawand Deese), sisters; Johnnie Mae Miles, and Rushie Williams; and a brother; Randolph "June" Faulkner, Jr. two brothers in laws; John Baker and Julius Blakeney.

She leaves to chrish fond loving and fond memories; her husband Alphonso Blakeney, Jr. of the home, a daughter; Latisha "Von" Allen (Steve) of Wingate, NC; five sisters; Macy Baker of Monroe, NC  Gladys Blakeney of Monroe, NC, Naiomi Williams (Freddie) of Waxhaw, NC, Jessie Bailey (George) of Mineral Springs, NC and Bun Crowder (Kelly) of Wingate, NC; one brother; Ron Faulkner of Minreal Springs, NC; one god daughter;Tiphanie Kilgo, Mineral Springs, NC, three grandchildren;  Eriyana Truesdale (Mother Ecia Truesdale) Justice and Sumer Massey, (Mother Lakeisha Hampton) one great-grandchild; Camiya Sky Massey and a host of Neices, Nephews relatives and dear friends.
