MR. MALACHI SAMONTEA BROWN, 23 of CAYCE, SC formerly of Union County, NC passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Funeral Service will be held 1pm Monday, April 10, 2017 at Christ Bible Discipleship Woship Center, 1019 Unarco Rd., Marshville, NC 28103. His remains will lie in repose 12:00pm to 1:00pm prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.

A public viewin g will be held 3:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

"Chi, as he was fondly called, was born on December 4, 1993 in Monroe, NC, to George Brown and Lafrankie Brown.  He joined Walking by Faith Outreach Ministry at an early age which he attended to his early teenage years.  He grew up in Marshville, NC, and enjoyed and lived through music.  He played instruments, keyboards and drums and created his own music, rap and hip hop. Anyone who knew him, know that he would keep you laughing through his consistent jokes and over the top stories. Chi was fearless, bold, and strong.  He always went for what he truly wanted and felt lead to achieve.  He made everyone he built a relationship feel as if they had a son, brother, or friend.  He attended Sage Truck Driving School, where he received his CDL Training in Lexington, SC.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Billy Frank Sinclair, Joseph Brown; aunt, Nicole Brewer, uncle Richland Benson " JJ", and siblings, Whitney Brown and Joshua Brown.

Malachi Samontea Brown leaves to cherish his loving memories to his daughter, Zoey S. Brown of Rock Hill, SC; his mother, Lafrankie Brown of Wingate, NC; his father, George Brown ( Candace) of Columbia, SC; two brothers, Samar Brown of Rock Hill, SC and Lamont Butler of Columbia, SC; four sisters, Sachiya Brown, Ephesians Brown, Omega Brown all of Wingate, NC and Destiny Bailey of Waxhaw, NC; Grandmothers, Ruby Sinclair of Monroe, NC and  Donella Brown, Cayce, SC; Fiance', Thaundra McCoy (T) and her children; one nephew, two nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts, great-uncle, cousins and friends.
