Marquita Renee Medley

Marquita Renee Medley, 37, of Mount Gilead, NC, died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Snow Hill AME Zion Church in Mount Gilead, NC,  with Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 1:30pm to 2pm at the Church prior to the service.

"Nay" as she was fondly called, was born in Mt, Gilead, NC to the late Frank Sam and Lestine Ledbetter Medley on August 28, 1975.  She attended the public schools of Richmond County and was an employee of McRae Shoe Factory in Wadeville.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are her daughter, Montoria Janae Medley-Steele of the home; six sisters,  Ella (June) Robinson, Ernestine Medley, Sandra Medley and Timeka Medley, all of High Point, Alice Faye (Frank) Sanders of Greenville, NC, and Rowena Ledbetter of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, Franklin (Argie) Medley of Troy, Bobby Lee Medley of Greenville, NC and Shawn Medley of High Point; two aunts, Frances Horne of  High Point and Emma Ruth Capel of Lilesville; one uncle, Joseph Medley of Wadesboro;  special friend, James C, Steele of Mt. Gilead and special niece, Stephanie (Chelle) Dumas of High Point; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and dear friends,
