Mary Frances (Buchannon) Lee

MRS. MARY FRANCES BUCHANNON LEE, 88 of MONROE, NC passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at CHS Union in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.

Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Mary Frances Buchannon Lee, was born on Sunday, April 7, 1929, in Anson County, NC, to the late, Henry Buchannon.

At an early age, Mary Frances confessed her faith and joined New Zion Baptist Church in Peachland, NC,  She had a very big  and giving heart and would help if she could.

She was united in marriage to the late Glen O. Lee. To this Union four beautiful and handsome children were born.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and two siblings.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are her loving children, Rogers Lee (Lena), and Pamela Doster (James), all of Monroe, NC, Willie Lee (Lilly)  of Charlotte, NC and Henry Lee of Monroe,  NC; three raised as her own, Anita Hailey of Marshville, NC, Joey Lane Hailey of Monroe, NC and Melva Hailey; one brother, Jack Buchannon of Peachland, NC; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
