Mary Elizabeth Medlin

MS. MARY ELIZABETH MEDLIN, 74 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her home.

Funeral Services will beheld 1:00 pm Friday,March 18, 2022 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 501 P.E. Bazemore Dr.,Monroe, NC.  Ms. Medlin's remains will lie in repose 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.) . Mary was the daughter of the late Nezzie Carelock Medlin and was born on Saturday, March 15, 1947.

Mary was raised in Monroe, NC and she attended Winchester School.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  She was formerly employed at Coca Cola Company and the Holiday Inn Company.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Nezzie Carelock Medlin; grandmother, Mary Carelock Medlin; brothers, John Lee Medlin, Jerry Medlin, Lendell Medlin, L. B. Blount and  Henry Lawrence Medlin;  brother-in-law, James Theodore Maske and sister-in-law, Luzzina Blount and nephew, Richard Medlin, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Herbert Medlin (Lisa) of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Jacqueline Howard (Carl) of Marshville, NC Teresa Carter of the home (Monroe, NC) and Donna Carterbof Newport News, VA; one brother, Richard Lee  Medlin (Betty) of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Mrs. Lorene Butler of Seat Pleasant, MD, Mrs. Elaine Maske of Monroe, NC and Miss Mildred Medlin of Maryland, and  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear feiends.
