On Friday, April 24, 2015, God call home our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, Mary Stancil Robinson Miller, from labour to reward.
Mary was the sixth child born on June 13, 1948 in Montgomery County, North Carolina, to the late Paul Sr., and Mildred Dumas Robinson.
She was a former member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and later became a member of McAuley Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was a member of the Kitchen Committee and the Missionary Society. Mary received her education from the public schools of Montgomery County, where she later became a school bus driver. She attended McAuley Memorial faithfully until her health began to decline.
She was united in holy matrimony to Walter Lee "Bay Boy" Miller for 40 years, and to this union 5 children were born. Walter, and her brothers, Melvin, Winfred, Johnny, Paul, Jr., Parnell and Herman Robinson, all preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are her children; three sons; Darrell ( Tarita) Miller, Vincent Maurice (Tamiko) Miller and Milton Miller; two daughters, Latasha (Chris) Oliver and Nikea (Derian) Ballard; three brothers; Harold (Joyce) Robinson, Jimmy (Linda) Robinson and George Herbert (Carol) Robinson; four sisters; Jeanette (Thomas) Jacobs, Nellie (Charles) Traylor, Sally Robinson and Ellen Robinson; five grandchildren; Darrell Miller, Jr., Milton E. Miller, Shurlanduis "Tyrik" Crump, Jaiden Miller and Chase Ballard; one great-grandchild, Amon Miller; mother-in-law, Hattie Lee Miller, sister-in-law, Nell Miller; two uncles, Asia ( Shirley) Dumas and Frank Dumas; one aunt, Alberta McAuley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and dear friends. Special thank you to sisters, Dianne Harris, Marcella McDonald and and Sarah Leake and Lessie Jackson.
