Mary Virginia (Bradley) Stanback

Mrs. Mary Virginia Bradley Stanback, 89 of  Mount Gilead, NC died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Autumn Care Nursing Facility, Biscoe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 1pm Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 4515 NC Hwy 73 West, Mount Gilead, NC 27306, of which she was a member, with Bishop Colon Haywood, Eulogist.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Virginia was born on January 23, 1923, in Montgomery County, North Carolina, to the late Marcellous and Dora Haywood Bradley.  She was a graduate of Peabody Academy in Troy and was formerly employed with Gilead Manufacturing and also was a Domestic Worker.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove and sang on the choir.

She was the widow of the late William "Boy" Stanback.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are one devoted son, Billy R. Bradley of the home; sister, Lillian Little of Mt. Gilead, NC;  two special cousins, Bishop Colon Haywood of New Haven, Conn., and Vaughn Haywood of Candor, NC and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC.
