Mattie Ruth (Chambers) Huntley

Mattie Ruth Chambers Huntley, 80 of Monroe, NC died Wednesday, March 13, 2013.  Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at West Monroe Deliverance Center Church of God, 309 Clara St., Monroe, NC 28112.  Bishop Andre Hester, Pastor, Eulogist, Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, NC.  Public Viewing will be held 11am to 7pm Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe.

Born in Union County November 26, 1932 a daughter of the late Paul and Roxie Ann Perry Chambers.  Also preceeding her in death; two daughters Paula Marie Chambers and Linda Chambers; son Larry Hood Chambers and brothers; Paul Chambers, Jr. and Julius Alexander Chambers.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories; two sons; Barry (LaVon) Chambers and Tracey Huntley both of Monroe, NC and Van (Barbara) Chambers of Wingate, NC; two daughters Darlene (Edward) Bivens and Angela Huntley both of Monroe, NC; two sisters Lena Mae Singletary of Monroe, NC and Mackey C. Nickerson of Charlotte, NC; one brother; James H. Chambers of Baltimore, MD; a host Grandchildren, Neices, Nephews, realtives and friends.
