Mildred Electta (Johnson) Jackson

Ms. Mildred Electta Jackson, 89 of Monroe, NC died Friday, December 20, 2013 at Novant Medical Center in Matthews, NC. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Black's Memorial Presbyterian Church, 509 S. Parker St., Monroe, NC 28112 Internment will be held 1pm Monday, December 30, 2013 at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. Visitation will be held 6pm to 8pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at   Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Hamlet, NC  a daughter of the late William and Bertha  Jane Andrews Johnson . She was a Cosmetology Instructor  and was a retiree of New York City Sheriff's  Department. Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband; Peter Jackson; siblings Thomas, Walter, Joseph, Richard and Andrew Johnson and Cassandra Washington.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories her four children; William Kevin Jackson (Gayle), Wayne Jackson (Judy) Miriam Presseley (Verloyrd Raymond) and Michelle Jackson; her sister Vivian J. McCullough; three grandchildren; Sharisse, Ayza and Wayne, II; one great-grandchild Kaiden; her sisters in law ;  Maye Johnson, Diane Johson, Shirlene Johnson, Evelyn Ward, Mary Ward, Martha Falk, Margaret Jackson, Thelma  Hartman, Catherine Reynolds and Willie Bell Thomas; her brothers in law; Robert Jackson and Walter Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
