Mother Emma Jane (Parker) Mckinney

MOTHER EMMA JANE PARKER MCKINNEY,  98 of TROY, NC formerly of MT. Gilead, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Trinity Place of  Albemarle, NC.

Joint Funeral Services with her beloved Sister, Mother Mary Parker Graham will be held  2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Saint  Luke Church of God, 542 Parkertown Road, MT. Gilead, NC. Mother McKinney's remains will lie in repose 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of MT. Gilead, NC which is serving the McKiinney, Parker and extended families.

On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call His daughter home.  He heard the prayers and knew Mother Emma Jane Parker McKinney's heart.  He was not going to allow her to suffer.  Mother Emma was born on July 4, 1923 and raised by Ernest and Bitha Butler Parker.

Mother Emma was a loving, caring and the most humble person you would ever meet.

Mother Emma McKinney was united in holy matrimony to the late Odell McKinney and to this union seven children were born.  She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Emma and Diane; sons, Raymond, Walter and Steven.  She was also preceded in death by her sister Mother Mary Parker Graham , on the same day she passed..

Mother Emma leaves to cherish her loving memories to two daughters, Betty Bennett and Naomi McKinney, both of Troy, NC; sister, Nora Parker Lewis of Mt. Gilead, NC; devoted grandson, Ronnie McKinney (Sandra) of Norwood, NC; two daughters-in-law, Annie McKinney and Shirlene McKinney; 9 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
