Mr. Bobby Frank Gillespie

Mr. Bobby Frank Gillespie , 62 of Charlotte, NC died Tuesday, July 3. 2012 at his home.  Funeral Services will be held 1pm  Monday, July 9, 2012 at Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Bobby was born December 25, 1949 a son of the late Craig Gillespie, Sr. and Carrie Mae Caudle Gillespie.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Josephine G. Clyburn and three brothers Fred Gillespie, James Gillespie and Craig Jr. Gillespie.
Bobby was baptized at an early age at Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church in Marshville, NC. He attended East Union School in Marshville, NC and he was employed with Miller Tile and Marble for 15 years and Lomax Tile and Marble for 25 years where he retired.
Bobby leaves to cherish loving memories to his loving and devoted wife Callon Washington Gillespie; one daughter DeShona Birtha of Charlotte, NC one son Bobby Washington (Misha) of Charlotte, NC ; three grandchildren, Alexandria Washington, Trenisha Birtha and Sasha Birtha all of Charlotte, NC; three great-grandchildren all of Charlotte, NC: five sisters; Queen G. Sturdivant, Frances G. Staton, Rosie G. Thomas and Sarah Gillespie all of Marshville, NC  and Sadie Hamlor (Pat)  of Bronx, NY two brothers; Rommie Gillespie  of Charlotte, NC  and Archer Gillespie ( Carolyn) of Marshville, NC; mother-in-law Nettie Mae Washington of Waxhaw, NC; seven brothers-in-law Robert Davis (Sheila), Richard Washington (Linda), Darryl Washington (Delores) Michael Washington (Barbara), James Cauthen (Martha), David Washington (Joyce) and Donnie Clyburn; three sisters-in-law; Caroline Coleman (James), Virginia Washington and Martha Cauthen and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.  Special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte.  Public viewing will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012, 1pm to 7pm at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monroe.
