Ned Moore

MR. NED MOORE, 69 of MONROE, NC passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home.

Military Honors and Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.

Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC is serving the Moore and extended families.

Ned Moore , 69 of Monroe, NC, passed away at his home on Monday, January24, 2022.  He was the second son of the late Mae Moore.

Ned was born on May 20, 1952 and grew up in Harlem, NY.  He joined the Air force in 1970 and proudly served until 1977.

Ned met his wife Diane, in  Brooklyn, NY, where they lived for years, while he worked for the United States Postal Service.

The couple retired to Monroe, NC, where he loved bringing family together for a BBQ.

Ned is survived by his nieces and nephews, Yolanda, Tamara, Yamease, Estella, Nathalie, Jimmy, Nathan Jr., and William; sister-in-law, Vanessa.  He is also survived by his step-daughters, Rhonda and April.  He additionally survived  by his grandchildren; Rashon, Raqibah, Anaysha, Brianna, Kaseem, Beautiful, Nevaeh and Kerisma and great-grandchildren, Zaniyah, Makayah, Alana, Elijah, Briellle and King, and a host of other relatives and friends.
