Nettie Lee (Crouch) Bowden

MS. NETTIE LEE CROUCH BOWDEN, 78, OF NORWOOD, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Novant Hospice House (Glen A. Kiser Hospice House), Salisbury, NC.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday March 20, 2022 at Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel 2529 NC Hwy 109 S. Mt. Gilead, NC.  Burial to follow in the Mt. Airy AME Zion Church Cemetery, 322 Rosenwald School Road, Mt. Gilead, NC.

Public viewing will be Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, we ask that you wear a face mask or face covering  and use the Hand Sanitizing Station on entering and exiting the Chapel.  Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Nettie was born on August 22, 1943 to the late Sallie Little and Henry Crouch of the (Mangrum Community) of Mt. Gilead, NC.

She was a lover of kids which is why she spent her younger years as a teacher's assistant in High Point, NC.  After relocating  back to Mt. Gilead, NC, she became a seamtress which she remained until retirement,

Nettie was loved by everyone who was blessed  with her presence and she treated everyone as family.  She  fed everyone and loved her grandkids and great-grandkids dearly.

Even though Nettie left her earthly ones, she went  home to join her late husband, Hubert "Frog" Bowden; daughters, Lynette and Lisa Crouch; sisters Janie, Sallie, Lee and Liu; brother, Henry Jr., and a daughter-in-law, Faye Crouch.

She leaves to cherish her earthly memories; two sons, Charles Crouch of Albemarle, NC and Hubert (Lizzie) Crouch of Lilesville, NC; brother, Charles (Gloria) Crouch of Mt. Gilead, NC (Mangrum Community); sister-in-law, Brenda Crouch of Norman, NC; threevgranddaughters, Debbie Crouch of Kannapolis, NC, Ariel (Ashley) Saunders of Lexington, NC and KeAira Crouch of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, Antoine Crouch of Ellerbe, NC and Shaquille Medley of High Point, NC; six great-grands, Alaisa Little, Jasmen Crouch, Alana Saunders, Grayson Sledge, Courtlyn Saunders and Zoey Saunders; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many more who called her "Ma", "Grandma", and "Nana".  She will be truly missed.
