MR. OLIE STINSON, JR., 78 of WAXHAW, NC passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at Atrium Health / Union in Monroe, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 3607 Andrew Jackson Dr., Waxhaw, NC. Mr. Stinson remains will Lie in Repose 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Church prior to the Service. Interment will follow in the Eastside Community Cemetery in Waxhaw, NC.
(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the Service and Public Viewing are required to wear a mask or facial covering. Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)
A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Stinson, Davis and extended families.
Mr. Olie Stinson, Jr., was born to the late Olie Stinson, Sr. and Emma Davis Stinson in Union County, NC on Wednesday, June 10, 1942.
Olie was united in holy matrimony to Carrie Mae Coffey Stinson, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Stonewall Stinson and three sisters; Emma Simpson, Mary Alice Adams and Shirley Jackson.
Olie was educated in the Union County School System. He was self-employed for many years as a concrete finisher.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to four daughters; Anita Bell (HC) of Kannapolis, NC, Regina Hood (Larry) of Monroe, NC, Chasity Stinson of Charlotte, NC and Geraldine Mobley of Monroe, NC; one sonm Olie Stinson, III of Gaffney, SC and one step-son, Joe McMurraynof Lancaster, SC; two brothers, Chucky Lee Stinson of Lancaster, SC and Ollie Stinson of York, SC; one aunt, Nettie Mae Washington ov Waxhaw, NC and one special niece; Deloris McAfee of Charlotte, NC; two special and dear friends; Richard Tyson ov Waxhaw, NC and Ronnie Miller of Wingate, NC; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
