Ophelia Elaine (Dubose) Moore

MS. OPHELIA ELAINE DuBOSE MOORE, 61 of MONROE, NC passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Main in Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the New Meltonville Missionary Baptist Church, 15482 White Store Rd., Peachland, NC.   Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 26, 2017,  at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Wednesday, October 19, 1955 in Chesterfield County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Marion James, Sr. and Julia Mae White DuBose. Ophelia was very active and always considered the needs of other people. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Minister Kathy Chambers.

She leaves to cherish loving memories two sons,  Steven Moore of Anderson, SC and Prime Moore of the home; three brothers, James Marion DuBose, Jr. (Carrie) of Indian Trail, NC, Reddie Lee DuBose (Chris) of Wingate, NC and Craven DuBose (Roslyn) of Pageland, SC; two sisters, Dollie Ann Horne and Patty Holmes both of Monroe, NC;  three grandchildren; one  aunt, Mattie Lou Polk, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
