Ossie Lee (Crowder) Perry

MRS. OSSIE LEE CROWDER PERRY, 99 of HIGH POINT, NC formerly of Union County, NC passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 318 N.Camden Rd., Marshville, NC.  Mrs.Perry remains will lie in repose 10:00 am to  11:00 am at the church prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

(Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the service and public viewing are required to wear a face mask or facial covering.  Also please use the Hand Sanitizing Station when entering and exiting the Funeral Home.)

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC which is serving the Perry, Crowder and Sassafras families.

Mrs. Ossie Lee Perry , 99 was born on May 18, 1922, in Union County ,North Carolina to the late Lee Crowder and Arey Sassafrass Crowder. Ossie was the eldest of thirteen children.

Ossie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt.  She was cherished by a host of friends and family members and touched the hearts and lives of many.  She had a smile that was infectious and brighten a room with 'her spirit, style and class. Ossie's passions were flower gardening and cooking.

Ossie was preceded in death by her late husband, Van Perry; 7 sisters, 4 brothers, 1 grandson, 2 great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Ossie leaves to cherish her precious memories to her three daughters, Leila Glenn, Ella Ross and Marjorie Dorster ; one sister, Eula Ross "Peg" Covington (Barry); 9 grandchildren , 20 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
