MR. PARNELL " PL" ROBERT KNIGHT, 51 of MOUNT GILEAD, NC died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at his home.  Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 3807 NC Hwy 109 S. Mount Gilead, NC 27306 with Visitation 1:30pm to 2pm prior to the service at the church, Reverend Marcus Robinson, Pastor, Eulogist.  Interment will follow in the Thomasville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Mount  Gilead, NC, Public viewing will be held 11am to 7pm Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC.

"PL", as he was fondly called by everyone, was born July 7, 1963, in Montgomery County, North Carolina, to the late Robert Lee Knight and Emma Jean Miller Knight.

He attended West Montgomery High School in Mount Gilead, NC  He became a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Gilead, NC where he was an usher and a faithful member until his health began to fail.

Parnell was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Tina and Teresa.

Those left to cherish his memories are three sisters; Corliss Knight, Toneca McBride and Keisha Shepherd (Kelvin); four brothers; Rory Knight, Bryant Knight, Robert Steele and Tyrone Steele; a special niece of the home; Aailyiah Knight; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, his Burger Shack and Dollar General Families and friends.
