Pastor Angelo Ferdinand Massey, Sr.

PASTOR  ANGELO FERDINAND MASSEY, SR., 57 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at CHS Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC.

A Memorial Service in his honor will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe, NC.  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC is in charge.

Pastor Angelo was born on Saturday, July 8, 1959 in Union County, NC, to the late James Massey and Mary Eleanor Gaddy Massey.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was a preacher at Operation Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Williams.

He attended the public schools of Union County and was a graduate of Monroe High School.  He was formerly employed by Johnson's Mills and Union Medical Center, now CHS- Union, in Monroe. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, William C. Massey and James Walter Massey.  He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be sorely missed.

Pastor Massey leaves cherished memories to his beloved wife, Frondra M. Massey of the home; son, Angelo F. Massey, Jr., of Charlotte, NC; step-children, Broderick Montgomery and Daniell Montgomery, both of Monroe, NC, Mary Montgomery and Azell Montgomery, both of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Eleanor Pearlene Heath (Clyde), Sally Ann Blount, Karen V. Ratliff(Leroy), Valarie Massey, Kattie Houston( Noah) and Marie Melton (Eddie), all of Monroe, NC,; one brother, Marvin Massey of Charlotte, NC; one aunt, Mrs. Rene McLendon of Monroe, NC, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
