Paul Ledbetter, Jr.

MR. PAUL LEDBETTER, JR., 70 of DURHAM, NC formerly of Troy, NC passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm Saurday, August 11, 2018 at the Troy Chapel AME Zion Church, 130 Barnhill St., Troy, NC.

Visitation will be held 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow in the Freeman Hill Cemetery in Troy, NC.

Paul Jr.,  was born on Saturday, March 27, 1948, in Montgomery County  NC, to the late Paul Ledbetter, Sr., and Beatrice Buie Ledbetter.

He attended the public schools of Montgomery County including Peabody High School  in Troy, NC.

After school, he relocated to Durham and was a self employed Taxi Cab driver, which he enjoyed. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Jerry, Ronnie and Richard Ledbetter and one sister, Sheila Ledbetter.  He will be sorely missed.

He leaves cherished memories to four sisters,  Katie French, (Gregory) and Jewel Hall, all of Troy, NC, Lecia D. Christian of High Point, NC, and Mildred Dudley of Stone Mountain, Georgia;  one  brother,  Larry Ledbetter (Tammy) of Troy, NC; a special friend, Alberta Harris of Raleigh, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews  great-nieces and great-nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.
