Peggie Leola (Harris) Raley

MS. PEGGIE LEOLA HARRIS RALEY, 78 of Greensboro, NC,  formerly of the Dry Creek Community of Candor, NC, (and sister of the owner of Harris Funeral Home & Cremations, Hubert Harris, Sr.), passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 at the home of her daughter Crystal.

Due to impending weather, there will be a funeral at 11:00 a.m.  April 8. 2023 at McAuley Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 2829 NC Hwy 109 South Mt. Gilead, NC. Graveside services to follow  at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 361 Dry Creek Road, Candor, NC.

Public viewing will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m., at Harris Funeral Home and Cremations of Mt. Gilead, NC, 2529 NC Hwy 109 S. The Covid 19 Pandemic is still around and we ask that you wear a mask or facial covering when entering and exiting the funeral home. Hand sanitizer is still being used also.  The safety of our families, staff and community is still our top priority.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
