Raymond ("Joe") Moore

​MR. RAYMOND "Joe" MOORE, 81 of MINERAL SPRINGS, NC ​passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at CHS Hospice of Union County in Monroe, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 520 Billy Howey Rd., Wesley Chapel, NC.  Reverend Michael Flowers, Pastor, Eulogist.  His remains will lie in repose one hour prior to to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, October 27, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

​"Joe" as he was so fondly called was born Friday, June 19, 1936 in Union County, NC a son of the late Jack Arnold and Bleaker Moore.  He gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he was a life long member serving in many capacities and most recently as a member of the Trustee Board and Usher Board where he served faithfully until his health began to decline.  He was employed by The City of Charlotte and later by Conbraco Industries.

​ "Joe" was preceded in death by his Parents and first  wife; Gertrude  Houston Moore and second wife:Martha "Nan" Barrett Moore.

​He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to one sister; Catherine Moore Hasson of Bridgeport, CT, aunt; Addie Robinson of Mineral Springs, NC, uncle; Johnny Moore (Rose) of Monroe, NC, special cousins; Allene Anderson of Wingate, NC and Vanessa Clay (Ricky) of Reidsville, NC and a host of other cousins and church family and friends whom will miss him dearly.
