MR. ROBERT "June" CLARK, JR. 69 of MONROE, NC passd away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Marshville, NC.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Greater Grace Community Missionary Baptist Church, 880 Hasty Rd., Marshville, NC. Military Honors, Committal and Interment will follow in the Church Cemtery.
A public viewing will be held 1:00 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.
"June" as he was so fondly called by his family and friends was born Sunday, May 15, 1949 in Union County, NC, a son of the late Robert Vernon "B" Clark, Sr. and Ada Mae Staton Clark. "June" accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and he joined the Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church in Marshville, NC and later he joined the Greater Grace Community Missionary Baptist Church in Marshville, NC where he was a very active member, where he was called into the Ministry in 2017 and he was a Guitar player until his health began to decline..
"June" was educated in the Public Schools of Union Co., NC and was a 1967 graduate of Forest Hills High School in Marshville, NC. After graduation he was drafted into the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. After receiving his honorable discharge from the United States Army, "June" was employed by Union Memorial Hospital in Monroe, NC until he was disabled to work further. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Earl Clark.
"June" leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to four daughters; Angela W. Blakeney of Monroe, NC, Melissa Clark of Lilesville, NC, Montangeous "Tan"Lilly of Asheboro, NC and Jeannette Huntley (James) of Winston-Salem, NC. Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, three brothers; Roy Clarkof Charlotte, NC, James Larry Clark of Huntersville, NC and Curtis Clark of Wingate, NC, one sister; Margaret Monroe (Melvin) of Indian Trail, NC, two uncles; Harvey Staton (Irene) of Monroe, NC and Furman Clark of Polkton, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
