Robert Lee Little

MR. ROBERT LEE LITTLE, 80 of MOUNT GILEAD, NC passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at First Health / Moore Regional Hopital in Pinehurst, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 1pm Friday, June 19, 2014 at Mount Zion AME Zion Church, 6748 NC HWY 73 W., Mount Gilead, NC 27306, Reverend Ronald L. Goss Pastor, Eulogist, Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Church Cemetery. A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC.

Robert was born on July 11, 1934, in Richmond County, NC, a son of the late Virginia Lilly Wilson, Alfred (Stick) Wilson and Benson Bowden.

He was a member of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, a graduate of Peabody Academy, Troy, NC, a 4 year veteran of the Marines, and a 30 year retiree of Alcoa Badin Works, in Badin, NC.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sandra Montgomery Little and one sister, Hazel Steele.

Those left to cherish loving and fond memories are his children; Adrena Little (Elder Chester Little) of Candor, NC; Bruce Pemberton (Kimberly) of Greensboro, NC, Veronica Leake (Jimmy) of Mt. Gilead, NC, Robin Little of Winston-Salem, NC, Charlene Little of Mt. Gilead, NC and Craig Little (Chantell) of Seagrove, NC; one brother, Rickey Sparks (Lisa) of Tulsa, Ok.; 12 grandchildren, a very special friend, Muriel Dunlap and a host of cousins and dear friends.
