Robert Anderson Mauney

MR. ROBERT ANDERSON "Bobby" MAUNEY, 71 of NORWOOD, NC, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at Broward Health North Hospital in Deerfield Beach, FL.  Funeral Services will be held 12pm Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Bennettsville AME Zion Church, 457 Carver St., Norwood, NC, with the  Reverend Anthony Ledbetter, Eulogist. His remains will lie in repose 11am to 11:55 am at the Church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held 12pm to 7pm Friday, February 5, 2016, at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Mount Gilead, NC.

We, the family members and close friends thank God for times we shared with "Bobby".  He was born on Tuesday, February 8, 1944, to the late O.D. and Aner Watkins Mauney.  His formal education was received in the Stanly County School System.  "Bobby" as he was affectionately called,  was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Johnson Mauney, two sons; Londrick Mauney and Anthony Mauney.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter,  Kesha Branch (Steve) of Albemarle, NC;  so,s; Paulesky Mauney and Robert "Link" Mauney (Mary) both of Deerfield, FL and Lorenz Watkins of Ansonville, NC.  Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;  brother-in-law,  Lonnie Johnson of Pompano Beach, F;.  Special nieces and nephew; Angela Hyatt of Austell, GA,  Tanisha and Tabensky Johnson (Benny) of Pompano Beach, FL, and a host of other relatives and friends.
