Robert Lee Patterson

Mr. Robert Lee Patterson, 70 of Wadesboro, NC died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at his home.  Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Mount Calvary AME Zion Church, 800 La Salle St., Monroe, NC 28110. Bishop James  L.  "Doc" Nance, Eulogist,  Entombment will follow in the Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum in Monroe, NC.

Born July 26, 1942 a son of the late Jake and Connie Garris Patterson, he was a retired Commercial Painter. Preceeding him in death was his parents, along with  a son Antonio Patterson, three sisters; Mary Magdalene Patterson, Helen Margaret Nance and Mary Frances Agurs and one brother Forest E. Patterson.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his wife of 15 years, Diane Hubbard-Patterson of the home; his children; Robin P. Thompson, (Richard) of Monroe, NC, Kelly Patterson of Lawrenceville, GA, Charles Broadway of Ansonville, NC , Robbie Patterson of Marshville, NC, Brandon LouAllen of Hickory, NC; one step-son, Urias J. Bennett, Jr., (Natalie) of Wadesboro, NC; one sister Dr. Ella P. Hood of Monroe, NC; four sisters-in-law; Rosetta Huntley, (William), Shirley H. Deese, (Dennis) both of Matthews, NC, Eva Jefferson, (Dave) of Syracuse, NY and Mary Sturdivant, (Byrant) of Polkton, NC; two brothers-in-law; Alexander Ratliff, (Donna) of Syracuse, NY and Frederick Hubbard, (Nona) of Laurinburg, NC; Father-in-law Sandy Hubbard of the home; 11 Grandchildren; One Great-grandson; a host of Nieces and Nephews, a special niece, Sharon Covington; four God brothers; Walter Byrd, Willie Webb, Reverend Samuel Wright and John Harris.

Public Viewing will be held 1pm to 7pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.
