Robert Lee Stewart

Mr. Robert Lee "Duffie" Stewart, 68 of Waxhaw, NC died Monday, July 16, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe, NC. Funeral Services will be held 3pm Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Harris Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Monroe with burial to follow in the Eastside Cemetery in Waxhaw.

"Duffie" as he was so fondly called was born August 24, 1943 in Union County a son of the late John Baker and Mary Etta Stewart.  He was a retiree of the Union County Public School System.

He leaves to cherish and fond memories one sister; Diana Ivey (Curtis) of Waxhaw, NC; three nephews; James L. Massey(Torri) of Charlotte, NC; John Craig(Betty) of Waxhaw, NC and Ronald Ivey (Kimberly) of  Weddington, NC; three neices; Sheila Craig of Waxhaw, NC, Lynette Feely (Bishop Dexter) of Charleston, SC and Jacqueline McGriff (Donald) of  Waxhaw, NC; five great-neices; two-great-nephews and one great-great-nephew and one Godchild Deccolia N. Caldwell of Waxhaw, NC; Special dedicated friend Carolyn Mobley of Waxhaw, NC; Special sisters Margaret Richardson of Washington, DC and Lundeen Cureton of Mineral Springs, NC and  a host of other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 11am to 7pm at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monroe.
