Rodolph Augustus Francis Cooper

MR. RODOLPH AUGUSTUS FRANCIS COOPER, 92 of MONROE, NC passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the Lake Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Indian Trail, NC.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. (Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the service are required to wear a mask or facial covering for public safety).

A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednedsday, September 2, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.

Rodolph Augustus Francis Cooper , was born on Thursday, December 8, 1927, in the Silver City Canal Zone,Republic of Panama to the union off the late Ira and Hubert Francis.

He graduated from Canal Zone High School in 1942.  He later was admitted tp Excelsier College on the Island of Jamaica, where he graduated on 1947.

Rodolph retired from the Panama Canal, where he was employed in the Navigation Division as a pilot's time keeper, after 27 years of faithful service.

He was blessed to be a father of five children; Veronica Francis Frempong of North Carolina, the late Rudolph Francis, Lydia Francis of North Carolina, Silberio M. Francis., and the late Rowena Francis .

Rodolph migrated to the United States in 2005 to be with his children.

His passion was his involement with his church and community.  He loved to smoke cigars and listen to Gospel Music.  His favorite quote was" still in the fight until I get to the maker."

He is survived by three children; Veronica, Lydia and Silberio; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; two nieces, and a host of cousins and friends.
