MRS. ROSA ELVELYN HOLLOMAN LOVE, 90 of WINGATE, NC passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at her home.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC . (Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic everyone attending the service must wear a mask or facial covering).
A public viewing will be held 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremations of Monroe, NC.
Mrs. Rosa Elvelyn Holloman Love , daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Holloman, was born on Saturday, August 17, 1929, in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Mama Rose loved the Lord! She became a member of Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted and very active member of the building fund, where she always raised the most money. She also was an active and faiithful member of the Missionary Department. When she could no longer attend the mission meetings, she welcomed the members to have the meetings at her home. She was always willings to help and do her part to support the ministry. She loved and enjoyed people. She was such a happt person and a joy to be around. Everyone that knew her, loved her.
She was employed at Central Soya, where she received a certificate of Perfect Attendance for her first year of service. She later became employed at Cuddy Farms. In 1988, she received a five year award in appreciation of Dedicated Service. In 1993, she received an award for 10 years of Dedicated Service. When she began to have problems with her leg, the plant manager had a chair made for her so she could sit down while working. Her co-workers were crazy about her.
Mama Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry Love, her parents and siblings.
Mama Rose leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to her god-daughter, Kimberly McNeely Edgeworth (Bernard) of Wingate, NC; four grandchildren, Asia McNeely, Denaja McNeeley, Tanaja McNeely, all of Indian Trail, NC and Tyler Aiken (Shanerra) of Whiteman, Air Force Base, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Caden Benson, Carter McNeely and Shyler Aiken, and a host of other relatives and friends.
