Ruby Mae (Holmes) Robinson

MRS. RUBY MAE HOLMES ROBINSON, 69 of MONROE, NC died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Hospice of Union County.  Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2301 N. Rocky River Rd., Monroe, NC with Interment to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC.  A public viewing will be held 12 noon to 7pm Friday, April 4, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe.

Born Friday, January 19, 1945 in Bolton, MS a daughter of the late Esau and Rosie Traylor Holmes.  She moved to North Carolina at an early age and worked at Union Memorial Hospital.  During her lifetime she worked at Emily Hosiery Mill, Charlotte Plastics and The Ranch House before retiring from Conbraco Industries after 31 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Ann Holmes, Andrea Robinson, Eric Robinson (Raquel), and Everette Robinson and a dear friend of 40 years James Massey; four sisters; Delois Holmes of Jackson, MS, Betty Scott (Walter) of Terry, MS, Juanita Gladney of Jackson, MS and Helen Harris of Bolton, MS; four brothers; Esau Holmes, Jr., Royzell Holmes (Sodonia) both of Jackson, MS, Willie Holmes, Sr. (Tomyzine) and Melvin Holmes both of Monroe, NC, Two Grandchildren; Daniel James of High Point, NC and Christopher Robinson of Monroe, NC and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.
