Ruby Mae Sinclair , was born on Thursday, April 9, 1953 as R uby Mae McCarter in Lancaster County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Leanna McCarter Sowell and Leroy Boyd.
Ruby joined God's Word Only Ministries in the early 2000's, which she attended until God called her home.
Ruby Mae Sinclair affectionately known as NanNan/Ma'Ruby, grew up in Lancaster, SC. Ma'Ruby spent her life living for Christ and sharing God's word (the good news). She met no strangers. She loved and cared for everyone she came in contact with. Anybody that knew her know that she would keep you laughing, probably crying too, because she did not mind telling you about yourself especially when it came to living right before the eyesight of God. Ma Ruby always made sure you felt her love when you were in her presence. She made everyone she built a relationship with, feel, as if they had a daughter, sister or mother in her..
She worked with the Union County Public Schools as a bus monitor/safety assistant. Her favorite two scriptures were Ephesians 3:20, "Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us. Romans 8:28 "And we know all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, and who have been called according to His purpose. Her favorite saying was "All Is Well and Shall Be Well, And Know That God Doeth All Things Well."
She was preceded in death by parents; her sisters, Sara McCarter, Gloria Boyd; her brother, Troy McCarter; her daughters, Nicole Brewer, Kiesha Benson; her son, Richlen Benson; two grandsons, Malachi Brown and Joshua Brown.
Ruby Mae Sinclair leaves to cherish her loving memories to her two daughters; LaFrankie Grant (James Grant) of Wingate, NC and Tonji Hopkins (Jerry Hopkins) of Lancaster,SC; her two sons, Makenzie Nelson of Charlotte, NC and Jermaine Benson (Carolyn Benson) of Indian Trail, NC; her two sisters, Joann Barbee and Brenda McCarter and her brother, Bobby McCarter, all of Monroe, NC.
