MR. AMILECH RUPERT ASHCRAFT, 74 of MARSHVILLE, NC passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Novant Health / Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 3pm Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 507 Elizabeth Avenue, Marshville, NC 28103, Reverend J.C. Clark, Pastor, Eulogist.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.   A public viewing will be held 1pm to 7pm Friday, July 24, 2015 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Rupert was born in Union County, NC on Sunday, May 11, 1941 a son of the late James and Mable Autry Ashcraft. He attented the Public Schools of Union County, NC, a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Marshville, NC where he served in various capacities, a former member of Marshville Masonic Lodge # 270 and a retired Truck Driver for Harris Teeter.  He was preceded in death by his Parents; his wife; Ruby Valinda Allen Ashcraft; daughter; Clemetine Allen and a brother; William Ashcraft.

He leave to cherish fond and loving memories to his daughter; Maxine Allen of Bennettsville, SC; two sisters; Janet Logan of Oakboro, NC and Iris Crowder of Monroe, NC; one brother; James Ashcraft (Shelby) of Oakboro, NC; a special friend Patricia Crowder of Monroe, NC; Four Grandchildren, Five Great-grandchildren and a host of neices nephews and friends.
