Ruth (Lotharp) Robinson

MRS. RUTH LOTHARP ROBINSON, 95 of WINGATE, NC passed away Monday, March 20, 2017  at Novant Health / Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church, 1708 Ansonville Rd., Marshville, NC 28103.  Dr. Matthew Rouse, III, Pastor, Eulogist, Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held 1:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, March 24, 2017 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Mrs. Robinson was born on Thursday, April 28, 1921, to the late Mary Reed and John Lotharp.  She departed this earthly life on Monday, March 20, 2017.

She joined Piney Grove East Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until her health declined.  She retired from the Mental Health Center after 12 years.

She will be remembered for her love of gardening, beautiful flowers and cake baking.

Her memories will be cherished by her 8 children, Doris Robinson, Vasco Robinson, Jr., Billy Ray Robinson, Reginald Robinson, Sylvia Robinson, Lester Robinson (Rose Medley), Angela Robinson-Barrino (Calvin) and Prentis  Robinson.  One daughter, Cynthia Robinson preceded her in death.  16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
