Samantha Chastity Rivers

MISS SAMANTHA CHASTITY RIVERS, 40 of MONROE, NC passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Carolinas Continue Care Hospital in Pineville, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Flag Branch Baptist Church, 2619 Old-Pageland-Monroe Road, Monroe, NC. Reverend Dale S. Jordan, Pastor, Eulogist.

A public viewing will be held 2:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Tuesday, August 24, 1976 she was a daughter of  Annie Mae Starnes Rivers and Julius Rivers, Jr.   She accepted Christ at an early age and she later joined Flag Branch Baptist Church in Monroe, NC as a member she served as a BTU teacher, a member of the Usher Ministry, Young Adult Choir and a Trustee.  Samantha was educated in the public schools of Union County, NC and was a 1994 graduate of Monroe High School and a graduate of Wingate University with a degree in Accounting, Crimminal Justice and Business Administration.

Samantha was employed by Food Lion as a customer service manager, Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC and Pineville, NC, Chase Bank and Teledyne Allvac in Monroe, NC.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her two sons; Shaquille Rivers of Wingate, NC and Ke-various Rivers of Monroe, NC, her mother; Annie Mae Starnes Rivers of Monroe, NC and Julius Rivers, Jr. of Pageland, SC, two sisters; Sonya Wilson of Monroe, NC  and Roxanne Collins of Killen, TX and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
