Selma Lee Redfearn

MS. SELMA LEE REDFEARN, 90 of INDIAN TRAIL, NC died Friday September 5, 2014 at Lake Park Nursing & Rehabilitaion in Indian Trail, NC.  Funeral Services will be held 1pm Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Watts Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 3501 N. Rocky River Rd., Monroe, NC 28110, Reverend Betty Erwin, Pastor, Eulogist, Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12 noon to 1pm prior to the Service at the Church.  A public viewing will be held 2pm to 7pm Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at  Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.

Born Wednesday, November 14, 1923 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late George and Ettie Staton Redfern. She was a member of Watts Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, NC where she served on various committes; Choir Director for the Pastors Aide Choir, Missionary Board, Usher Board and Kitchen Committee.  She was preceeded in death by  a son; Jesse Redfearn, her parents; and a her faithful friend John Wallace also her sisters and brothers.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her daughter; Mildred Carter (Alfred); one son; Charles H. Redfearn both all Indian Trail, NC; a daughter in law; Willean Redfearn of Charlotte, NC; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
